Through this approach we offer solutions to Prevent unhealthy choices, Intervene with support at critical moments and Restore by building pathways to lasting change.
.
Our programs include educational, therapeutic, life and career skill services and training that acknowledge and disrupt cycles of racial and economic disparities with an emphasis on serving under-served, at-promise and justice involved youth.
Equipping youth to start their journey in a positive direction, run the race with clarity and conviction and finish the race strong and empowered. This whole self-life ready program is delivered in three phases through our HOPE model, Ready, Set Gone.
1. "READY" - The READY phase involves self-awareness and development and focuses on mindfulness, emotional regulation, identity exploration, conflict resolution, and personal narrative development through live theatre.
2. "SET" - Once the mind is in position, we focus on being “SET” for life with technical Skills, leadership development, public speaking, financial literacy, entrepreneur basics, career readiness and goal setting.
3. “GONE” - By being Ready and SET it propels youth forward and in motion. To support the forward progress, we impart the “GONE” phase where we equip youth with tools of empowerment and support through youth led committees, peer support groups, community impact projects, mentor networks, our "Family of the Flock" initiative and tangible tools and resources for sustainability.
Curriculum and materials encompass evidence-based practices and behavioral therapy concepts such as:
Every young person deserves and needs a champion dedicated to seeing their brilliance, not their circumstances. Our mentoring program connects youth with carefully selected mentors who understand their pathways based on a deliberate decision to learn, listen to and hear the voices of youth or have lived experiences with achieved outcomes of success despite facing comparable challenges.
To help sustain the work youth are doing to transform their futures, our mentors provide authentic guidance, support, and inspiration through active listening, relationship building and shared experiences.
Mentors operate within a structured support system of consistent engagement and focus on personal development, academic support, career development, life skills and community connection.
·This program also supports the Ready, Set, Gone Hope model
In direct alignment with our mission, we aim to empower youth to positively transform their own futures. To do this their voices must be heard, and action must be taken. Our Youth advisory Committee will support ensuring our programs operate with relevancy, authenticity and are proactive and responsive to youth needs. Additionally, the YAC will lead efforts in community impact projects, civil engagement and advocacy.
This program involves Working with families, schools, and community organizations to create sustainable support systems such as trauma informed and restoration parenting workshops .
