At The Good Part Perspective, we believe good mentors exist in those with integrity, commitment, understanding, genuine care, and a passion to positively guide and support the young lives that are entrusted to their mentorship. Not only do we believe this, but we also require it as a mentor with our program. 

We're not looking for perfection, because our quest would never end – we're looking for authenticity. Your struggles, lessons learned, and personal growth are exactly what makes you valuable as a mentor.

Through consistent, quality mentoring, our goal is to:

• Improve academic performance

• Enhance life readiness skills 

• Develop personal and professional skills

• Build self-confidence

• Illuminate clear paths to a career-ready future

Basic Requirements:

• Age 19+

• High school diploma

• Pass a background check

• Valid ID 

• Two personal references

• Successful interview with our team

• Complete onboarding mentor training 

Level of Commitment

• 2-3 hours monthly for one-on-one mentoring

• Weekly check-in via phone or email

• One-year commitment to your mentee

• Monthly staff check-in
